Craigs Motorsports Show,
Sherrill, NY.
Our show car
chairman Richard Parry
submitted the following report:
Street rods, rat rods, race
cars, peddle cars, what more
could you ask for. The third
annual Craig Henry
Motorsports show was a huge
event. The day was sunny and
warm as we filed in it was
business as usual. 'How are
you, were have ya been and
did you find any new cars to
buy.' Barb Clark was busy
handing out door prize tickets
and selling 50/50's. Craig
was at bay in the store with
his helpers moving NASCAR
hats, tee-shirts and die cast
cars. Out side it was coffee,
donuts, hot dogs, hamburgs
and soda all day. Club
members were Jon Button
with his sprinter, John and
Barb Clark with the 10,3x
and 34 cars, John Mason and
Mike Newell with the 29 and
65, Alan Weaver with the 77
and 19, Larry Ferrell with the
v3, Ray Hedger had the #16
Dick Clark rabbit on hand.
There was a nice peddle car
display and the Sonny
Seamon and Richie Evans
display was on hand as well.
A host of former driver owners
showed up as well, Joie
Norton brought up his dad
Smokie Joe and it was a
pleasure chatting with them.
A ton of old storys about the
early days at Utica Rome. As
for poor Sharon her car took
another dive as we couldn't
fire it, their was a gas leak at
the carb and the fuel smelled
like skunk ****. So we just
took the tables and photo
albums to display. The dj on
hand played some nice
50&60 rock and roll music
through out the day. Craig
would like to thank all those
who made this a sucess and
plan on next year as there is
always a suprise ahead.
