LATE MODEL 6-CYLINDER INFORMATION

CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Tools required for assembly of late model 6 cylinder engine...

7 mains for 250 Chevy block.

12 counterbalances on 250 crank.

Cam and crank in, use plenty of Ultra-slick..or a sledgehammer.

Assmbled cam, ensure you have the retaining plate in place...

Beefy rod and piston assembly.

Stock ports for Chevy head.

Competiton exhaust ports.

Competition intake port with boss removed.

Ready to go.

Torque the cam retaining plate in place, and use a washer to hold the gear to the cam.

Shortblock assembled, you can now put away the sledgehammer.

Nice big valves and open chamber.

Screw in studs a must, loctite in place.

Whhops, get that hammer back out and make some room for the timing gear retainaing bolt.

Drill and tap crank for harmonic balancer retaining bolt. A sweaty job.

A little paint does wonders.
